The McCall MacBain Scholarship 2027 is a major funded route to graduate study at McGill University. It is not simply a discount or one-time award. The full scholarship is designed to support the normal duration of an eligible program by covering tuition and fees, adding a monthly living stipend during academic terms, and helping with relocation to Montréal.
The key point for applicants is timing. The scholarship application comes before many students have completed the full McGill admission process. You must apply for the scholarship by the correct McCall MacBain deadline, and you must also apply separately to an eligible McGill program by that program's deadline. If the McGill program has no earlier deadline, the official scholarship guidance uses December 1, 2026 as the program-application deadline.
Because the scholarship is leadership-focused, a strong applicant is not only someone with high grades. The selection process looks for evidence of character, community engagement, leadership potential, intellectual curiosity and fit with the McCall MacBain community. A polished academic record helps, but it is not enough if the application does not show judgment, service, initiative and clear reasons for the chosen McGill program.
